When and where is the Career Fair?

The Career Fair is on September 20th. It will be located on the first and second floors of the Johnson Athletics Center (Building W34) and in Rockwell Cage.

The Fair will be open at 9:30 AM for first-year undergraduate student and selected volunteers during the Early Access Period. The Fair opens at 10:00 AM for the general student body.

When is the deadline for candidate registration?

It is possible to register anytime before Career Fair, and even day-of. However, registering earlier and submitting your resume online will give you more opportunities to interact with companies.

When and where is the Interview Day?

Interview Day is September 21st, from 10:00AM - 4:00PM. Many, but not all, companies attending the fair will schedule interviews with students they are considering hiring for this day. I'm an MIT alum. Can I submit a resume?

Yes; to register please use your @alum.mit.edu address.

Is the MIT Career Fair open to students outside of MIT?

No; the fair is only open to MIT students, postdocs, and alumni. Candidates must register with their MIT email.

I am a FIRST YEAR Undergraduate student, can I use my resume from high school?

As the Career Fair is rather early in the year, it is true that it may be early to gain much MIT experience to put on your resume before the fair. However, we would recommend checking out the CAPD’s resources on resumes and updating your resume as much as you are able to (for example adding MIT to your education section).

What is the MIT Career Advising and Professional Development Office?

MIT Career Advising and Professional Development (CAPD) runs all recruiting opportunities for companies throughout the year, except for Fall Career Fair week specific activities.

What is the Fall Career Fair Committee?

The Fall Career Fair Committee is a group of MIT undergraduate and graduate students who organize the MIT Fall Career Fair. This group is also known as the Fall Career Fair Directors. If you would like to learn more about the committee or are interested in being one of the 2020 directors, please email cf-directors@mit.edu.
